Armchair, in Hepplewhite style, with rectangular back with stick splats and moulded downturned armrests, cane seat on square tapering legs joined by H-shaped stretcher.

Notes

Most probably designed by Bawa office for hotel commission and based on an 18th century Hepplewhite-style armchair illustrated in R.L. Brohier, 'Furniture of the Dutch Period in Ceylon', plate X, fig.3.
